How do you calculate the commission I get for referring a customer?

We pay out commissions based on the famous "infinite sum series" from Zeno's dichotomy. Check out Wikipedia to understand this more.

We start out at a base commission rate you get for referring a customer directly, and pay you 50% of that base rate the further the person who buys our product is away from you. We call this method "Zenofistically". As an example, we had a contest and gave away $25 to the winner and divided $25 amongst everyone who referred the winner.
