Zenofon announces new $3 free promotion for new customers that sign up using a mobile phone.

July 21st, 2010 » No Comments

Zenofon announces the beginning of its new promotion that gives away a free coupon worth $3 of free calling to people who join Zenofon and confirm their account with a valid mobile number. Previously, Zenofon gave away free time to anyone who confirmed any American phone number, but due to the prevalence of people using throwaway “google voice” numbers to abuse Zenofon’s coupon policy, Zenofon was forced to develop a software program that determines whether a phone number is an actual number or merely a google voice number before generating the free coupon to the new user.
This program will help Zenofon grow quicker, Zenofon mangement believes, because the company now can give away more free time to actual users. Once users experience Zenofon’s technological superiority, such as the Zenofon international call forward program, Zenofon’s pick your own rate program, and Zenofon’s service that lets non-skype users call Skype lines without having to download Skype, the service will continue its double digit quarterly growth.
As of now, the company offers $3 free calling for all new users that sign up with a valid phone number. This $3 free is divided up over 7 days, (42 cents/day.) Non-mobile numbers get 30 cents free to try the service.

Zenofon adds its 7th unprecedented route. More choices than any other phone company.

July 16th, 2010 » No Comments

Zenofon has come up with an innovative concept that lets you select from multiple providers when you call internationally.
We did this because one time a woman complained to us that her mother expects a call from her every Friday night, and one of our vendors was giving us trouble that evening, and she was unable to call her mother. That stimulated our brains to come up with a plan that benefits both of us, that allows us to provide you more useful options than any other phone company, and to arrange it that nobody ever disappoints their mother ever again.
There are many benefits for you to having multiple route choices: Firstly, we are able to offer you cheaper rates this way. Some people don’t mind skimping a little to save money. Others don’t want to bother, they just want ahigher quality of service. Now, both can use Zenofon. Secondly, our vendors will now offer you coupons to switch routes. Soon we expect vendors to give you a coupon to change routes, say $1 for free if you choose to go with route 7
Either way, below is a presentation, in case you need help figuring out how to configure our system:

A summary of zenofon’s rates and routes.

July 8th, 2010 » No Comments

Zenofon’s mission is to save you as much money and time as possible when you call internationally.

To save you time, we created 30 call forwarding numbers that you can store in your phone, that you can program to call internationally. Previously, if you wanted to save money on your international calls, you had to dial an access number and a PIN number, and then the number you wanted to dial. Once you add your international contacts to your Zenofon phonebook, that 3 stage dialing annoyance is a thing of the past. All you have to do is dial your Zenofon number and it will ring all the way to your contact overseas.

Zenofon has also invented something extremely powerful that will be extremely useful in helping us deliver to you the cheapest possible telephone rates and service. Our new software platform now offers you the choice of 7 possible routes that your call can take as gets delivered to your contacts overseas. Some of you will always choose the cheapest rate and some will always opt for the best quality route, but Zenofon intends on giving you the option, so you can decide for yourself what is best for you.
At this time, our level of reporting is not 100% there. We are working on a more transparent information sharing method, so you can see which route is the best blend of economy and high quality service. We hope to have that for you shortly. In the meantime, a summary of the routes are as follows:

Route 1 – Economy
Route 2 – Discount
Route 3 – Discount
Route 4 – Quality
Route 5 – Quality
Route 6 – Extreme discount, not guaranteed quality
Route 7 – Hi quality

Thank you for your patience and your continued patronage as we strive to make Zenofon the most interesting, economical and useful phone company around

June 21st, 2010 » No Comments

One of the great things you can do with Zenofon is create multiple ways to reach a contact. You can make multiple phone numbers that will reach your contact either cheaply or with better quality. If the cheap route doesn’t work, just dial again, this time on the more expensive guaranteed route. The video below will show you how to set it up.

Zenofon’s releases its new invention which allows you to assign your Skype contacts landline phone numbers.

June 10th, 2010 » No Comments

Zenofon has just added a pretty cool new feature that many of you might find useful and economical. Previously, you could only add contacts land/mobile phone line numbers. Zenofon now has invented and implemented a new feature that allows you to add someone’s Skype ID as a contact as well. So if you have a friend that has a Skype ID, Zenofon will give you a USA phone number that will forward to your friend and a much cheaper price than if you called them using their land or mobile number. It doesn’t matter what you are calling from; you can be on a land line, a mobile phone. You don’t even need a Skype account, you can still use Zenofon to call this contact.

Configuring a Skype ID is easy. You do it the same way that you configure a phone number: From your phone settings page, in your Zenofon phonebook, click add a new contact, type in the Skype ID as the contact’s number, and save. You will be given a new number that will forward to the person’s Skype ID. Easy & simple, but no other company has it but Zenofon. Currently, you can only have 30 combined contacts, but in the near future, we expect this number to go up to 100. We look forward to assisting you with this, because many people have requested this upgrade, and the only thing preventing us from implementing it, is just lack of manpower.

What is the cost to use Zenofon’s new feature? 1/10 of a cent minute, (Basically nothing, if you are on the phone for 1 hour, it will cost you 6 cents), because that’s the lowest number our system will take. Zenofon is doing this as a public service to its members because many of you have requested it. We want to make calling your friends and loved ones as cheap and as simple as possible. Try it and give us feedback so we know if it worked for you. This is our new product and we assume that their will be a bug or two. If you like it tell your friends. Refer them to our system and earn micro-endorsement fees off of them infinitely.
Thanks for everything: including your patience, your money, your referrals and your time. Zenofon just signed up its 25,000th customer, and if all goes well, we will do $2000 in daily revenue this weekend. We owe it all to you guys, for spreading the word about our company. We are infinitely grateful.

Thank you,
Baruch Herzfeld

Problems connecting? Zenofon’s amazing new feature allows you to fix it yourself!

April 27th, 2010 » No Comments

Dear Valued Zenofon Customer,

If you ever have trouble calling one of your contacts, such as echo, low voice quality, no caller ID, or busy signals, Zenofon has just created a feature where you can fix this problem yourself. All you have to do is the following:

Step 1) Call in the usual way, at the voice prompt, “please wait while we connect your call”, hit the # key.
Step 2) You will be taken to a voice menu that asks you if you want to change the way we route your call. If you want to change the way we route it, press 1 or 2. (In the future you will be given up to 10 choices.)
Step 3) Allow the call to route to your destination using the new route.

Thanks for your continued business,
Baruch Herzfeld
President Zenofon

Concept explained:

Zenofon purchases its telephone services in bulk from other companies. No one company is great to every destination. For example, the company that we send Nigeria calls to, might be excellent to Lagos, but weak to other cities. Additionally, this same company might be good one day, but bad another day. With other older, less innovative telephone companies, when you have a problem you have to call in customer service, and they would then re-route the call for you, (if you were lucky). Zenofon now allows you to do this yourself. All you have to do, is press # at the voice prompt, and then choose a number from the menu, right now 1 or 2, that allows you to reroute the call yourself.
Please give us feedback about this feature. The concept is new, and we are implementing it without fully testing it. In the future, we will give you 10 different routing choices, so you can always have as many options as possible. Additionally, at this point, we are not charging extra for this feature. In the future, we may implement an option to charge more, to send the call over a very high quality route, but at this point, everything is the same. If we ever change this policy, we of course will let you know via email.

Zenofon increases referral fee Zenofon members get when someone they refer makes their first call.

April 22nd, 2010 » No Comments

Zenofon, the rising telecom start-up out of Brooklyn, NY, announced today a new incentive for its 22,000 members to convince their friends and relatives to try out Zenofon’s service. When Zenofon members refer a friend who then goes on to make a test call on Zenofon, the proprietary Zenofon software will generate a 49.5 cent credit to the referrers account. At the same time, Zenofon’s server will generate a commission that divides by 50% for each referrer up the line from the person who referred that person.
This promotion is for a short undetermined time only. It can change at any time. Zenofon also reserves the right to reverse the commission of people who they feel are abusing the system, to generate false leads through the Zenofon system.
The other Zenofon referral fees have not changed. Zenofon still pays a total 10% recurring commissions when someone you refer recharges minutes with Zenofon. Zenofon also gives an additional 10% split up amongst everyone who referred that person.
Additionally, Zenofon gives away 1 cent when someone you refer, confirms their email address, and becomes a member.

This rate decrease is a promotion and not meant to maintained indefinitely. It is meant to introduce Filipino customers to the ease of use and the social networking aspects of Zenofon.
